In My Drunken Mind

image

Met so many born stars, porn stars,
Get so many worn stars, torn scars,
Been a player winning time to retire,
Spinner slayer sinning grime in fire,
Ran, I had a plan to be a new man,
So I placed myself on a screw ban,
That bullshit couldn’t last too long,
This brabiscuit was just too strong,
Girl of my dreams after a long wait,
Showed up early for that first date,
She was hot and I was fully tense,
Guess what became a full expense,
She was rising, but I was the star,
Got her a candy bar and long cigar,

Drank herself silly, fell into my bed,
I gave her feet, she gave me a head,
Saw Goldilocks and the three bears,
Sweet Rapunzel with her long hairs,
I told her of Jack and the Beanstalk,
After Red Riding Hood I didn’t talk,
I’ll swear I’ve never done the drugs,
But I was high and saw flying rugs,
She was a buy sexual, well it sold,
And a try sexual as the story’s told,
Never cared much what people do,
Some things she did I never knew,
She laid me so truly every payday,
It paid to be unruly in my heyday,

Did some stuff that made her cuss,
Tired of the fluff and a paid circus,
I’ve never cared to mend the fences,
Even the fool comes to his senses,
Must have been a luck of the draw,
I wasn’t in any of the videos I saw,
Heard excuses, each one was good,
Few strangers and a neighborhood,
Love is crazy, but if it gets twisted,
Better you leave than get iron fisted,
I’d say I hate love, but that’s heresy,
So I’ll take a break from Hennessey,
A heart can leave you sunken blind,
Don’t try for love in a drunken mind.

She Was A Good Girl

image

Innocent, but that was long before,
A stepdad walked through her door,
With a mother now poor and needy,
Moved in the new man who’s seedy,
Mary is twelve, quick and athletic,
“Uncle John” is slick and pathetic,
Paved a way to hearts with knives,
Saved the day with tens and fives,

How quickly he shot into her head,
It was he who earned all the bread,
Climbing every night into her bed,
But if she told a soul she’d be dead,
She tried showing her mom signs,
Mom’s eyes closed by dollar blinds,
It got worse behind closed minds,
Blood on sheets many night times,

Her brain got slow and grades low,
Neighbours show how not to know,
Lots of attitude and mood swings,
Now it’s “John” if her phone rings,
Got a little brother from her mother,
They’re so distant from each other,
Tries to tell, but mom got deaf ears,
Been abused for the past five years,

Some say Mary wanted to rep bad,
Had to be a girlfriend with stepdad,
Caught in a past of the life she had,
Depression, now she’s going mad,
Failed in school, she couldn’t cope,
Seventeen and alone, lost all hope,
Tried to ease pain in rum and dope,
Took his hush money to buy a rope,

Ever told your child just what to do,
If your man says he’ll kill you too?
Don’t get paranoid, just be aware,
Many ignore a child for a love affair,
TV news, now they’re just a name,
Can’t allow things to stay the same,
A little girl now hangs from the tree,
Or got killed because of pregnancy.

Who Cries For Me Tonight?

image

Who cries when another one dies,
A mother tries to hide soaked eyes,
Her son the prize, no criminal ties,
Bullet flies, under skies a coffin lies,
Another sunrise to sad goodbyes,
We advise with words to the wise,
Who cries for girls with torn scars,
Eyes blurred in dreams and stars,
Drugged on pars and raped in cars,
Now sold shadows dancing in bars,
Pennies for thought in broken jars,
Many caught up in unspoken wars,
Who cries for that son with a gun,
No care or dare to fear having fun,
System run out and he’s on the run,
Prison is a school til days are done,
Dark society can never see the sun,
No pardon left, but we pardon pun,
Who cries for minds with no heart,
Pulling blinds as worlds fall apart,
Not seeing the signs of a new start,
Sit all alone waiting to play the part,
Unsteady, a medicated poison dart,
Mix crushed pills with a rum quart,
Who cries for the drowned in plight,
When all is wrong, nothing is right,
Filled with fears and an inner fight,
When the inner winner takes flight,
In a crowded room, no one in sight,
Asking, “who cries for me tonight?”,
Who do YOU cry for?

Why Try Buy A Lie?

image

Was I thinking on that rainy night,
Me drinking, you pouring out plight,
Your life washed ashore on rocks,
Opened doors to your hard knocks,
Traded every play to make a sale,
Pointed blame on everything male,
Had everything lined up for the sky,
Got cold cut, then you asked why,

Was I thinking on the morning after,
Who you were linking with laughter,
Facing uphill with a downward grin,
Playing games we would never win,
Role of a knight armed with shield,
Looking for the onion layers peeled,
Yesterday was us, today just a guy,
Nothing’s wrong with love if we try,

Was I thinking on that ride and dip,
I’ll admit that it was a helluva trip,
Never planned to do a hit and run,
Stuck around for freshly done bun,
OK, at times I was the sonofabitch,
Took two brooms to fly that witch,
“For Sale” sign to a piece of the pie,
Invitation to treat, a chance to buy,

Was I thinking that day we ended,
None of our fences will be mended,
You still think class can be bought,
A sad young lesson you got taught,
I’m glad we were brought to a halt,
Looking back I’ll shoulder the fault,
Always true to self, on that I’ll rely,
Can’t get love if you try to buy a lie.

Living Like We’re Strangers

image

Long distance living in one space,
Mutually joined unknown existence,
Walls painted in unspoken words,
Hair brush ends airbrushed convos,
Love buried below a seen surface,
Both driven, but more driven apart,
Moments spent in single thoughts,
Together a figment of the familiar,
Dimly lit amorous warmth in ice,
Streams of laughter trickle slowly,

An obituary penned in the pensive,
Floating figures contesting a bout,
Simplicity swamped by the obtuse,
Where ends a long trainless tunnel?
Wrecked by blinding outgoing light,
The clock shows there was a time,
Past pastimes for the peaceful pair,
We stood time until time stood still,
Shadowed love packed, ready to go,
Living like we’re strangers together.

If the Shoe Fits…

image

She loved the taste of pesto,
I kind of loved her dress though,
Much better when it came off,
Even though I had gone soft
In my heart…
So I know I had been smitten,
When I went to feed her kitten,
Wasn’t ready to drink the milk,
Rubbed the barely hairy silk
Of this cat…
She was filled with laughter,
Her cat always came after,
Any sounding of the drum,
I knew her cat would come
Running…
This girl was a born star,
Unravelled as a porn star,
Had lips that made smoothies,
And hips that made movies,
Privately shown…
One sad and fateful night,
Me and her cat had a fight,
I hurriedly took it to the vet,
Badly bruised, but barely wet,
In the rain…
Never again her pussy I’d touch,
Seems she loved that cat so much,
Damn cat tore through her clothes,
I’d cool it down with a long hose,
From the garden…
One day the crafty cat would lose,
Got crazy chewing on her shoes,
I thought it was a sin though,
Throwing the cat out the window,
On the ground floor…
Over time we crashed and burned,
I was the love and lover spurned,
Meat balls and seasoned rice,
Every cat carries a different price,
If the shoe fits…

My Teacher Taught Me Well

image

She found it easy to reach me,
The ways of words and books,
She made some advances,
And we took some chances,
I learnt lots about her hot looks,

After school she would teach me,
A difference in wants and needs,
A little physics and psychology,
But mostly lessons in biology,
Focused on planting of seeds,

She was quite a versatile teacher,
Gave extra in lessons galore,
Made me touch and bite her,
And love stories I’d write her,
Until she could read no more,

Years after, I became her teacher,
Told her about oceans and rocks,
And a little about farming,
Which she found charming,
And why roosters are called cocks,

This bold story about my teacher,
Was never told or widely spread,
But I’m grateful she chose me,
And made sure to expose me,
Now I’m a great teacher in bed.

Who Will You Cry For?

image

Hunger pangs peal like a bell,
Bombs away erase all in sight,
Drought-dry lands feel like hell,
No sweet home, sleepless tonight,
Biblical bias for scriptures read,
Children raped with no regards,
Graves await the forgotten dead,
Innocent inmates, guilty guards,

Elderly foundation rocks in shame,
Underage with children cast aside,
Mentally lost time clocks in name,
Selfless servants fallen from pride,
Deaf ears are blind for the disabled,
Corruption wields wild like a sword,
Cheap talk laughs with laws tabled,
Loose murder fakes crimes cured,

Kangaroo court with human judge,
Animal farm growing equal rights, Poor can’t afford to carry a grudge,
How can we sleep well at nights?
None knows when our time will call,
Help will disappear and walk away,
No one is free from a victim’s fall,
Just who will you cry for…TODAY?
